Second Chances - For those who missed Jess and Julie's shows
at Diversity, you now have a second chance to see some of
their recent work.
JESSICA CASON's
one person show continues through March 25th
at the Orville Hanchey Art Gallery on the campus of NSU in
Natchitoches - reception: Thursday, March 22nd, 7pm
JULIE BRIDGES'
one person show runs from March 26th through
April 1st at the Orville Hanchey Gallery with a reception,
Thursday, March 29th at 7pm
Jess & Julie both have work on display through April 3rd at
Diversity's "Spirit Walker" group show.
~~
Good Friday Gig - Diversity has booked the band "BLACK LILY"
for a street show (weather permitting) in front of the gallery
on April, Friday the 13th. Diversity will also be opening
early and closing late that day to help celebrate Leesville's
130th birthday and the official designation of Third Street
as a National Historic District.
Details are still being worked out for the exact times but
if you're curious about the band, you can catch them at the
"Silver Tab" (on Hwy 171 at Hwy 10) in Pickering on Friday,
March 30th.
~~
Sharing Resources - Diversity recently received a donation of
over 100 hardback art books! This donation will become the
core of a new shared arts resource we're planning to make
available to artists and friends of Diversity.
Along with additional art magazines and art videos, the
collection is already approaching 175 items. If you have
any arts-related books or magazines sitting around collecting
dust, please consider adding them to the collection. With a
little cooperative effort, Diversity could soon have the
largest publicly available arts library in the area.
